Create a vision for your dance business. Write down your plan, including the following:
• Outline your long-term goals. Dream big! • Look through that list and choose the top 3, the ones that inspire you the most. These are the ones to start with. • Define your brand, your name, your style, etc. • Decide where you want to teach and what the next step is to make that happen. Should you make a list of colleges or dance studios that you can approach? Do you want to open your own dance studio? Will you need to set up a virtual dance studio? • How will you handle business record keeping, financials and liability issues? • Compile any promotional materials you have used in the past (if any) and consider how well they have worked for you and how you might improve on them. • What elements will you use in your marketing plan to promote yourself and your classes? • Describe your #1 dance Role Model of the past and explain why. • Describe your current mentor and explain why. If you don’t have one yet, what will you do to find one? • Describe how you will continue to train and develop as a dancer.
